Ashe County Rescue Squad
PO BOX 639
West Jefferson, NC 28694

Friends and Neighbors,
As you read this we are celebrating providing service to all of Ashe County for 62 years.

The world has changed. Our economy has changed. The Ashe County Rescue Squad has adapted. We hope that your world is back to normal.

But normal for our Squad doesn't really change much. We still respond to an array of 911 calls. These 911 calls range from motor vehicle accidents to water rescues, to searching for missing persons, agriculture accidents, high angle rescues, and patient carry outs. We also standby at the Ashe County High School football games, Christmas in July, and numerous other gatherings, area events such as bike races and marathons.

Ashe County Rescue Squad responds at no cost to the patient yet our expenses continue to increase. Ashe County Rescue Squad is currently completing a second base in the Baldwin Community of Ashe County.  We are working on getting a new chassis to remount the rescue box that is currently Rescue 2 our first out rescue truck.  Our longer-range plans include replacing Rescue 3. As you know anything with vehicles and building can be quite expensive.

We strive to utilize state and private grants to make every dollar go further.

If you are able to send a tax-deductible contribution, no matter how big or small, the members of the Ashe County Rescue Squad, along with the members of the community who have benefitted from our services, will forever appreciate your donation. Our organization relies on these annual donations to continue our endeavors. We look forward to continued years of growth and service to this community.

Thank you,
Robert Poe, Captain
Ashe County Rescue Squad
